Legal Authority My Job Search Journey Home

My Job Search Journey

On Tuesday, September 25, 2008, I received a mail from the CEO of Legal Authority, Harrison Barnes. I can never forget that day which was the start of what I would regard as one of most effective success stories in the life an attorney. As an experienced attorney, I was tired of searching for jobs by traditional means. I turned to Legal Authority on Harrison’s suggestion. The company offered direct marketing service for legal professionals.

Here are few excerpts from my diary of career success:

September 25: I filled out the sign-up form on the Legal Authority website.
September 27: I received a phone call from Suzanne, an employment advocate. She gave an honest assessment of my market value, and together, we short listed about 500 legal employer contacts from across California.
October 2: I received a new resume and covering letter, which looked much more professional.
October 5: I mailed out my documents to all 500 employer contacts and waited.
October 10-22: I received over 30 phone calls from law firms inviting me to interview with them. In addition, I received over 50 letters from other law firms who indicated that they intended to keep my resume on file for future reference.
November 5: I joined an Am Law 200 firm in Los Angeles as a senior tax attorney.

Harrison Barnes has made a huge difference in the lives of thousands like me. I owe a lot to the company and its extremely supportive staff members. I intend to make additional use of the Legal Authority services in the future in order to further expand and strengthen my network of contacts in the legal community.
